Raising Shetland Sheep

Since January 2022

We have been the breeders of registered Shetland sheep since January 2022.  We began with a small flock of six, and each year we have grown in size and knowledge. My husband, Mike, and I enjoy lambing season most of all. As a fiber artist, they are a source of creativity and joy. We are now sharing our joy with our child and grandchildren.

Little Goats

March 2023

Our little goat was a welcomed surprise to our farm. Her name is Poppy and she was a rescue. After she arrived we knew we needed more than one.  Right now, we have three. These little goats are full of personality! They are a Nigerian Dwarf & Nubian mix. We just enjoy watching and listening to them. They are another source of knowledge and adventure to our farm.

Farm Family

Our farm family continues to grow in so many ways! We are currently blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, and will soon add a grandson to our family. It is amazing to watch them grow and learn about our farm and the animals.

Shetland Sheep

Every Day We Learn Something New

When you care for animals there is always something new to discover. As Shepards, Mike and I have learned how to properly feed nursing ewes, we have learned about land and soil management and so much more to provide for our animals.

We have been blessed with a healthy family and healthy animals. Shetlands are a hearty breed. Ewes are wonderful mothers and rams take their job seriously, as well. I also enjoy the variety of fleece this breed. They range in color and in textures and allow a breeder to experiment.

We have been blessed to love and care for them.
